A nurturing space where Pilates, yoga, breathwork, meditation, and energy practices come together to strengthen your body, still your mind and soothe your soul.
Our Bangor studio, nestled in bushland, offers calm, connection and care. It is located in Kula Place - aptly named, as "Kula" means community in Sanskrit.
Come and move mindfully with us and foster a deeper connection to yourself, to others and to the present moment.
Mindful movement is more than just exercise; it’s a low-impact yet powerful practice that not only strengthens your body but also builds emotional resilience, self-awareness, mental calm and inner empowerment.
It offers a more deliberate and holistic approach to exercise by emphasising toning, balance, flexibility, alignment and breath. It involves tuning in to how your body feels as you move without interpretation or judgement, and learning to move with intention instead of pressure.
Increased strength, stability and posture without strain
Improved flexibility and mobility, especially in stiff or painful areas
Increased body awareness and improved coordination
Reduced chronic pain
Reduced stress and anxiety and cortisol levels
Better sleep, digestion and energy
Improved mood and emotional regulation
Enhanced body image, and self-esteem by connecting with the body in a positive and accepting way
Greater self awareness and a deeper connection to your inner wisdom
Enhanced relationships
Improved cognitive function - memory, attention and focus
Strengthened proprioception and interoceptive awareness (proprioception tells you about your body's position and movement in the external world, while interoception tells you about your body's internal world)
What is mindful movement?
Mindful movement is the practice of moving with awareness, intention, and presence. Instead of rushing or pushing through exercises, you slow down and tune in, listening to your body, breath and inner cues.
It is somatic, blending elements of yoga, pilates and breathwork to move with full-body awareness, focusing more on how you're feeling rather than meeting a specific performance goal.
It helps you build strength, flexibility and balance, while also calming the mind and soothing the nervous system and creating a more compassionate, connected relationship with yourself.

Not at all. You don’t need to be flexible, fit or experienced. Our classes are designed for all bodies, all abilities and all levels of experience. We focus on how movement feels, not how it looks. You’ll be offered gentle guidance, choices, and modifications to suit your body and energy. This is a space where movement meets you with kindness.
I have an injury/disability/condition. Will I be safe?
Yes. Your safety and comfort are our priority. Our facilitator is trained in trauma-informed and adaptive movement. You’ll always be encouraged to honour your body and move at your own pace.
What if I can’t do certain poses or exercises?
That’s completely okay. We offer alternatives, support props and rest options. We will never push to to move in a way that doesn’t feel right for you.
What if I have anxiety? Will this help me?
Many people with anxiety or a busy mind find these practices deeply calming and grounding. I understand this from personal experience and create classes that support nervous system regulation and self-connection.
What does trauma informed mean?
It means we create a space where your body and emotions are treated with respect. You are always in choice, and there’s no pressure to push, perform, or be perfect. It’s about creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can reconnect with yourself gently and mindfully.
